FAQ
Q. What is body energy? A. Every living thing is made up of energy. Just as our nervous system relays impulses, our body has pathways called meridians. Meridians allow energy to flow to all our organs. The free flow of energy is necessary for the optimal functioning of our body and to stay in good health.
Q. Why do we sometimes feel "drained" of energy? A. Meridians can become blocked and prevent the free flow of energy. Your environment, the people you interact with, and your own thoughts and emotions can cause meridians to become blocked. There has to be an outlet for the energy, or it will become stagnant or blocked.
Q. What happens when the energy becomes blocked? A. The energy will turn inward and produce feelings of anxiety, overwhelm, depression and other health problems as it becomes chronic. It is not unusual to store in our body past issues, experiences, and emotions from our childhood all the way into our present life which we have not fully expressed. This stagnant or blocked energy produces illness and low energy levels.
Q. How does our environment and the people around us affect our energy? A. Each person has an energy field that extends 6 to 12 inches from the physical body. This is an electromagnetic field which houses our thoughts, feelings, and emotions. When we come into contact with other people, our energy interacts. You may get a good or bad "vibe" coming from an individual without even realizing where the feeling comes from. Our environment also holds many vibrations of energy. A crowded and stressful workplace will have a different effect on your body than being in a serene forest surrounded by nature. Nature increases your energy and helps clear it. It is a natural healing environment.
Q. What does energy work mean? A. Energy work means that the focus is on clearing blockages and stagnant energy from the mental, emotional, and physical body. The goal is to release and clear symptoms from the body which the person is experiencing. This may take more than one session when the symptoms are chronic.
Q. Do I need to prepare for an energy healing session? A. It is best to avoid caffeine, alcohol, and stimulants prior to an energy healing session. Wear comfortable clothing with natural fibers. Please refrain from wearing metal or jewelry during your session.
* Please wear white (natural fabric such as cotton) when scheduling a crystal bed session if possible. If you do not have white clothing a cotton cloth drape will be placed over your clothing. White allows for easy visualization for light placement over the chakras and for the energy to flow through it with out being disrupted by the frequencies of color.
Q. What can I do at home as an outlet for stagnant energy? A. There are many things you can do to release energy. Movement such as dancing, exercising, walking and yoga are all great ways to remove stagnant energy. Verbal expression such as talking, crying, singing, chanting, and yes, sometimes screaming can all be an outlet. Taking part in creative activities such as art, photography, writing, cooking, or gardening are excellent ways to express yourself. Being surrounded by nature can be very soothing and have a "grounding" effect. Meditation (listening) and prayer (expressing) can also be beneficial. Finding activities that bring you comfort and joy are important to maintaining balance within.
